Water sedge can be found along the shorelines of freshwater ponds, lakes and rivers, marshes and swamps. It grows in saturated soil or slightly submerged and can withstand temporary flooding. It can act as a great natural filter, and its vast root system can stabilize eroding shorelines. Water Sedge can grow to 120cm in height and will produce small flowers. We recommend that it be planted in saturated soil or in water to depths of 30 cm.
