Polygonum Amphibium (Water Smartweed)

An amphibious plant, Water Smartweed can be found in and along ponds, marshes, streams, lakes and ditches. Growing both on land and submerged in up to 100 cm of water, it is an ideal plant for areas with varying water levels. It is also useful for erosion control and food and shelter for various wildlife. Smartweed will produce a flower and will grow to heights of 40cm. We recommend that Water Smartweed be planted in saturated soil or in water up to 30 cm deep
